Short(ened) Story

Introduction

For this assignment I had to record at five minute interview where someone told me a story. Then, I had to shorten this story to only one minute long, making sure the story still made sense and flowed. I did this through Adobe Audition, I am happy overall with how it came out but I think that some of the transitions between some of my clips could have been more seamless. With more practice with the application I believe it will come out even better. 

How I Used Audition

I put my recorded mp3 into audition then opened a multitrack session. In order to edit the clip in an non-destructive way I used the razor tool to select parts of the audio that I wanted to keep for the final. Then, I put all of the parts I wanted into track 2 and used the fade in and fade out to make the transitions sound better. Finally, I saved just track 2 by saving with selected clips and uploaded it to soundcloud.
