Sound Effects

For this blog post I thought about some sound effects that would help to enhance the audio of my still image video. I figured out different ways to record these sounds and uploaded them to my soundcloud account. 

Ambient Audio 

My video is all about jet skiing so I thought a good background noise would be the sounds of waves crashing to help the viewer feel like they are there. First, I tried recording this by splashing water in my bathroom sink but that did not come out too well so I found the sound of waves crashing online instead.

Sound Effect of a Thing

For this sound effect I wanted to create the sound of the keys of the jet ski as I talk about the necessity of using the keys and safety when riding the jet ski. I recorded this sound by smashing my keys I have in my room.

Sound Effect of Not a Thing

I was not really sure what I wanted to create for this sound effect but I decided on someone that sounded like a knock to use for when I break my nail in the video. I created this sound by knocking a key against a desk.
